Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) and First Senior Center of Georgia are proud to host a special Veterans Day equipment giveaway ceremony honoring Vietnamese-American veterans who served as high-ranking military officials during the Vietnam War. These veterans arrived in the United States through the Special Release<\/span>\u00a0Reeducation Center Detainee Resettlement Program (known as the \u201cHumanitarian Operation Program\u201d), which assisted former POWs and political detainees seeking freedom.<\/p>\n In gratitude for their service, FODAC and First Senior Center will provide critical home medical equipment (HME) including wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen supplies, bathing aids, and personal care kits to veterans and seniors in need. These veterans, who experienced the challenges of reeducation camps, now face unique mobility and health challenges in their senior years. With FODAC and First Senior Center’s partnership, these veterans receive essential HME, honoring their legacy and ensuring dignity and independence.<\/p>\n
