Valentine\u2019s Day Event Provides Free Mobility Aids: FSCofGA and FODAC Partner

\nNorcross, GA \u2013 February 14, 2025 \u2013 This Valentine\u2019s Day, First Senior Center of Georgia
\n(FSCofGA) is celebrating love and care by giving the gift of mobility to seniors in need. In
\npartnership with Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC), FSCofGA will distribute
\n150 mobility assistance devices, including wheelchairs, walkers, and canes, to ensure that seniors
\ncan navigate daily life with greater independence and dignity. The special event will take place at
\n11:00 a.m. and run for an hour.<\/p>\n

\nThanks to a generous donation from FODAC, this initiative aligns with First Senior Center of
\nGeorgia\u2019s mission to create a vibrant and inclusive community where Vietnamese and minority
\nseniors can thrive, receive essential services, and enjoy fulfilling lives in their golden years.
\nSupporting Minority Seniors with Essential Services
\nLed by Executive Director Von Tran, First Senior Center of Georgia recognizes the unique
\nchallenges faced by minority seniors, including language barriers and limited access to
\ngovernment support. FSCofGA provides critical programs such as a food bank, free
\ntransportation, burial services, and social support to help seniors integrate into American society
\nwhile maintaining their cultural identity.<\/p>\n

“Many of our seniors struggle with mobility issues, which makes daily tasks difficult and
\nsometimes isolating. Thanks to FODAC, we are able to provide these life-changing mobility
\naids, helping our elders regain their freedom and independence,” said Von Tran, Executive
\nDirector of FSCofGA.<\/p>\n
