Our weekly food pantry is dedicated to serving underserved low-income families, with a special focus on households with seniors aged 65 and above. Each month, we proudly support over 3,200 households, providing essential items to alleviate food insecurity and enhance overall well-being.

First Senior Center of Georgia is currently providing Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
What is Tenant-based rental assistance (TBRA)?
TBRA is a subsidy program used to provide rental, security deposit, and/or utility deposit assistance to eligible low-income households. This program covers a portion of the monthly rent, due to economic hardships that the individuals face when they need to relocate to another property or rental space within Gwinnett County. This funding is prioritizing seniors above 65 years of old at First Senior Center of Georgia. Other eligible individuals are welcome to apply.

The TBRA program is a subsidized rental assistance with the purpose of helping individual households to cover a portion of their monthly rent, due to the economic costs & hardships that individuals face when they need to relocate to another property/rental space within Gwinnett County, because of not been able to afford current rental costs at current property. This fund prioritize people with disabilities and senior citizens, but everyone is welcome to apply. This program can also help individuals who are living in extended stay hotels or shelters in Gwinnett, and are in the process or transitioning to obtain a stable, permanent housing.
Eligibility for the program:
– Must Reside in Gwinnett County
– Have valid Lease Agreement Contract at New Property where individual is relocating
– Only for US Citizens or Permanent Residents (Must provide proof)
– Valid Georgia ID
– Household Income no over the 60% AMI (Area Median Income)
– Proof of Economic Hardship/Emergency
– Must provide other documents such as Birth certificates, social security cards & proof of income for head of household and other household members.
First Senior Center of GA offers comprehensive care, including end-of-life services for members.
