On January 2, 2026, to celebrate the New Year, Ms. Von Trần, CEO of First Senior Center of Georgia (FSCofGA), brought a special and heartfelt gift to Ms. Xuân Mai — our beloved and oldest member — as she joyfully steps into her 100th year of life.
.
During the New Year gathering, Ms. Von Trần, together with Ms. Dung Huỳnh, presented Ms. Xuân Mai with a celebratory gift bag and a Life-Saving Smart Watch — a special device equipped with an emergency button designed to help safeguard the health of seniors.
Known affectionately as a “guardian angel,” this watch automatically calls for emergency assistance if it detects that the wearer has fallen or is experiencing a health emergency. With just one press of the emergency button, the user is immediately connected to a rescue call center that provides Vietnamese language support, offering additional comfort and peace of mind for seniors when help is needed.

This initiative is part of a non-profit project by FSCofGA, in collaboration with community partners, aimed at improving senior health and safety through practical technology. In 2026, FSCofGA plans to expand the project and provide at least 200 Life-Saving Watches to elderly adults in need.
When receiving her gift, Ms. Xuân Mai was deeply moved and tearfully whispered just four words — “Thank you, Center” — touching the hearts of everyone present.
This meaningful gift embodies FSCofGA’s New Year wish — a message of good health, safety, and love to all seniors, reminding them that “no matter the situation, FSCofGA will always be here — with care, compassion, and dedication.”

Seniors aged 65 and above who are interested in receiving a Life-Saving Smart Watch are warmly invited to contact First Senior Center of Georgia (FSCofGA) to register.
This practical device is especially helpful for seniors who live alone or do not have full-time caregivers.
