Vietnamese Americans Adopt New American Ways and Holidays as First Senior Center of
Georgia takes Halloween to New Levels
WHAT:
Von Tran, of the First Senior Center of Georgia, loves holidays, whether American or
Vietnamese. She and her team take each celebration to amazing levels, creating a blend of
Disney World decorations and Broadway performances. Her celebrations are absolutely
amazing, giving Vietnamese Americans a true taste of what America is about in its moments of
joy and celebration. Decorations beyond belief will adorn the 26,000 square foot facility for its
Halloween celebration on October 23rd. Singing, dancing, and candy treats abound,
accompanied by a seniors-only costume contest and a traditional Vietnamese luncheon. Come
to cover a lot of fun, color, and a new twist on Halloween.
